It all began with a dance...
On a hot summer
’
s night two souls unexpectedly met purely by chance however
it would turn out to be a profound sudden awakening...
Janlu and Leanne met in the summer of 2020 just before the world was
plummeted into the darkness that was the global lockdown for COVID-19. It was
the hottest night of the summer and they had both been invited to go to
Danskraal, initially neither of them were going to go but they were both
persuaded by different people and thus the love story began.
Leanne noticed him as she greeted their mutual friend at the entrance, happy
that she knew someone there besides the people she came with and the first
thing she noticed was not the long beard he had but his gentle hazel eyes.
Later the evening he requested a song
“My Sonskyn
” by Etienne Steyn and
before she could say a word or think of rejecting him he had swept her onto the
dancefloor and told her the song was for her because she reminded him of
sunshine, he made her laugh and sparked the embers she thought dead forever.
She is his sun, radiant , fiery, fierce yet warming his heart with her glow. He is
her moon reflecting her love with a gentler calming light even in darkness.
He knelt down when she never thought he would and asked for her dawns, her
twilights and eclipses until both of them cease to remain in orbit.
Together they are spring love eternal, bringing joy, hope and a new beginning
together as husband and wife, their love for each other amplified by their love
for God.

When do I need to RSVP by?
We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
If you know you’re coming, no need to wait, please RSVP as soon as possible.
Otherwise please RSVP by September 1st, 2026.
If you do not RSVP by then, we will assume that you are unable to attend.
What Time should I arrive?
The ceremony will begin punctually at 15h00.
We ask that you arrive 15-20 minutes prior.
Bar is open an hour before ceremony starts.
What is the Attire?
Our wedding is inspired by the beauty and colour of spring, and we’d love for our guests to wear bright, cheerful attire in their favourite spring colours. Think greens, blues, pinks, peaches, yellows, purples and other vibrant seasonal shades.
Our bridesmaids will be wearing coordinated soft pastel dresses, while our immediate family and close friends will be wearing coordinated floral outfits. If possible, we kindly encourage guests to choose solid colours or subtle patterns instead of floral prints.
However, if florals are all you have, please don’t feel the need to purchase something new—your presence is what matters most to us.
We kindly ask guests to avoid wearing white, ivory or cream.
Our ceremony will take place outdoors in a beautiful outdoor setting with grass and wooden walkways, so please keep this in mind when choosing your footwear.
Comfortable shoes, block heels, wedges or flats are all great options.
Most importantly, come ready to celebrate, laugh, dance and make unforgettable memories with us.
We can’t wait to share this special day with you!
Can we bring our own food & drinks?
Please note that Deannie Landgoed maintains a strict no outside food or beverages policy.
The venue offers a fully stocked bar service for the convenience and enjoyment of all guests.
Kindly note that the bar operates on a cashless basis, and card payment facilities will be available throughout the event.
Is Parking Available?
Yes! Complimentary parking will be available onsite. Attendants will be there to guide you upon your arrival.
Can I bring A guest?
We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
You will find the details about your party size, including whether it includes a plus one, on your invitation.

What should I expect weather-wise?
It’s Cape Town….
Sunshine, wind, rain, and four seasons in one day are all possible.
We recommend dressing warmly and bring a coat, just in case.
